RECALL PRIMARY ELECTION NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
The RECALL PRIMARY ELECTION will be held in the Village of Hazel Green at the HAZEL GREEN MUNICIPAL HALL 1610 FAIRPLAY, on the 8th day of MAY, 2012.
Polls for this Election will be open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. on that day.

Southwest Technical College Summer Camps
Southwest Tech Summer Camps
June 25 – 28
8:30 am – 4:00 pm
These camps are for students entering 8
th – 12th grade in the 2012-2013 school year. All camps are free and will include a t-shirt and lunch each day attended. Each session is limited to a total of twenty participants and sessions will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students may select from the following sessions and may choose to attend a session on Monday and Tuesday only, Wednesday and Thursday only, or all four days. Contact Mary Johannesen at 608-822-2367.
Monday – Tuesday Camps
Robot Wars
This session will expose students on how to design, build, and test remote controlled miniature robots. This two-day session will focus on team-building, problem-solving, creativity, and fun.
Construction Camp
In this two-day session, students will learn about the construction of residential and commercial structures, building layout, brick and block, mortar, wood, rough and finish, estimating, blueprint reading, hand tools, and shop safety. Students will work in teams on various small, hands-on construction projects.
Wednesday – Thursday Camps
Energy Camp
This session will give students the opportunity to explore how electrical energy is generated and used. The first day will feature a tour of several renewable energy generating facilities. On the second day, students will participate in a classroom discussion of conventional and renewable energies, energy conservation, and energy usage.
CNC Camp
Students will be exposed to the precision machining industry in this two-day session. Students will learn about engine lathes, milling machines, drill presses, saws, precision grinders, and computer numerical control equipment. In addition, students will learn about metallurgy, heat treating, sharpening, hand tools, precision measuring, and blueprint reading.
Welding Camp
Students will be exposed to the knowledge and skills needed in manual, semiautomatic, and robotic welding processes used in fabrication and construction industries. Students will learn to identify materials, operate
equipment properly, practice correct procedures, test for strength and appearance, and receive an introduction to blueprints and measuring.
Tech Trek
July 16 – 17
Tech Trek consists of many daycamps for students entering 7 – 9 grade in the 2012-2013. Past sessions have included basic crime scene processing, fun with science, intro to auto tech, fun in the world of cosmetology, introduction to industrial robots, welding, building a web page, exploring the world of nursing, and more! There is a $55 registration fee which includes a t-shirt, lunch, and snacks. Contact Mary Johannesen at 608-822-2367.
Child Care Camps
2 camps – June 26-28 and July 23-25
Two camps will be held for children 6-10 years of age. Both camps are limited to 20 children. Contact Emily McBee at 608-822-2453.

Recycle your old computer, televisions, cell phones and electronics.
The following items will be picked up on Thursday, August 9, 2012, beginning at 7:00 a.m.
Only the following items will be accepted:
Computers, Towers DVD Players, VCR's, Blue Ray
Monitors Stereos, Fax machines, Copiers
Laptops Video Games Consoles
TV's PDA
Printers MP3, IPods
Peripherals (mice, keyboards) Scanners, Speakers, Flash Drives
External Modems Hard Drives (they will be destroyed)
Phones All computer parts
All Batteries Cell phones
Please place these items in a neat and orderly pile at your curb by 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 9th. Village crews will be making one pass on all streets starting on the north end.
No other items will be accepted. If you have any questions, please contact the Village Hall at 608-854-2953.
