Tornado Awareness week – April 17-21

This week, April 17-21, is Tornado Awareness week.   Did you know that Grant County has had more confirmed tornado touchdowns than any other Wisconsin county except Dane?

The statewide tornado drill will take place this Thursday, April 20.  There will be TWO DRILLS; one in the afternoon and one in the evening.  The afternoon drill will have a tornado watch issued at 1:00pm and a warning at 1:45; a second tornado warning will be issued at 6:45.  All municipal tornado sirens in Grant County will be sounded for both drills.
